Navy Veteran Finds a New Home

“Alan” is a young Navy veteran living in the Philadelphia area. He has loving parents and grandparents who are willing to help in any way they can, but suffers from mental instabilities that left him homeless. Alan wasn’t comfortable living on the streets.

After reaching out to Alan’s VA social worker and his family, VVA Veteran Service Officer Ken Bouy was able to recommend several temporary housing locations willing to accept him due to his veteran status. In addition to having safe shelter, Alan now has the opportunity to complete a job training program that could lead to a permanent, paying position with the VA.
