Gretchen Klingler

Gretchen has been actively involved in Veteran organizations since she completed her 6-year enlistment in the United States Air Force in 2015. As a student at the Ohio State University, Gretchen became two-time President of Vets 4 Vets, a chapter of Student Veterans of America, and was selected as a Pat Tillman Foundation Military Scholar in 2017. She completed bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Arabic prior to graduating in 2019.

She comes to VetsVOA with experience in social media, grassroots networking, national outreach, and qualitative and ethnographic research.

Gretchen served 2 tours overseas, including Afghanistan (OEF), Djibouti (GWOT-EM), and Iraq (pre-OIR). She continues to serve her community as the 2021-22 VFW Department of Ohio VMS Chairman, Ohio District 11 Surgeon, and Post 4931 Adjutant. She is also 2nd Vice of American Legion Ohio Post 1, and is an American Legion Americanism National Council Member representing Ohio, as well as a member of DAV Ohio Chapter #3, AMVETS Post 89, and Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 746.

Gretchen works as the Executive Assistant of VFW Ohio Charities.
